Idefimages has been conceived by Ian Bayliss and James Grimston, two photographers from very different backgrounds. Ian's background hails from Graphic Design, Photography and Print, whilst James lived the outdoor life as a Gamekeeper and photographer. As you will see from the images the pairing of Ian & James provides a combination of skills that find their way into the pictures with a shared passion. The images on show are typical of the high quality they hope to achieve, portraying a unique, almost painting like style which is fast becoming a trademark. Bayliss & Grimston pictures are multi-shot panoramic photographs with a difference. Painstakingly processed to produce high dynamic range and incredible detail, some of the images contain over 100 frames x 3 to accurately record the highlights, midtones and shadows. The time taken to stitch and blend the final panorama can run into days, mainly because of the large size of the final image. This allows prints to be reproduced at sizes where lesser photographs would be struggling to hold the tonal range and detail. It should be said, however, that Bayliss & Grimston can cater for every pocket and wall space, with prints of all sizes and are available for commissioned work to your requirements.
